WHA is about Service to our community, and Social Activities & Sanity for our Spouses
The Wilford Hall Auxiliary (WHA) brings together the spouses of active duty, enlisted, civilian, and retired military medical personnel. We are dedicated to supporting the men and women of San Antonio Military Health System (Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center and San Antonio Military Medical Center) and their families through service projects, donations, and social events. We provide friendship, support, and social activities for our members.

Membership in the WHA is open to all spouses of those affiliated with DoD medical personnel in the San Antonio area. The annual membership dues are $25.00. WHA membership entitles you to the WHA interactive website at meetup.com, participation in our playgroup, WHA monthly electronic newsletter, WHA membership directory, and participation in all club activities and functions. Membership runs from June 1 to May 31 of the following year. Please make your check payable to WHA and mail it, along with this completed form, to the following address:

Service
¨ Donations and meals to the Fisher House
¨ Deployed Spouse/Family Support: “Pump It Up” Night and Pre-Deployers’ Picnics
¨ Memory boxes for bereaved parents of newborns in the NICU
¨ Support various 59th MDW celebrations, recognitions, and ceremonies
¨ Creating personal journals for oncology patients
¨ Provide financial support to various departments, programs, and military organizations
Social
WHA creates a community of support through special interest groups. Sharing common interests keeps us involved, stimulated, and positive. If you have a special interest or talent, come and get a group to share that interest with you. We are always looking for fun things to do such as shopping, antiquing, crafting, quilting, sewing, hiking, biking…anything!
Sanity
Playgroup:
One of our most popular groups is the playgroup. There are multiple opportunities for children to play and adults to visit, share resources, ideas, and fun. Scheduled events are posted for playgroup members only on meetup at: http://www.meetup.com/WHA-playgroup
Meet, Munch, & Mingle: Guest speakers provide information on a variety of topics to include military policies, benefits, relationship building, social activities around town, and services offered on base. Programs will be posted on our website and meetup at: www.meetup.com/Wilford-Hall-Auxiliary.
